This is 5 day/4 nights Historic Route (Ethiopia)

Day1:

Fly to Bahir Dar, met by our representative & airport transfer- Boat ride over Lake Tana crossing the Zeghie peninsula (aprox 1hr) on the radius of Kidane Meheret. Stop to visit the ancient island monasteries of Kibran Gabriel and Intos-Jesus (land of Jesus) where present are monks living detached from society. Island churchwardens will brief on the history of each church and its artifacts you will have a guided tour of these ancient monasteries and their legendary artifacts and paintings. Afternoon drive to the site of the Blue Nile falls (Tis Issat- 54km); visit the surrounding area and the falls- overnight at Summerland hotel.

Day 2:

Transfer & fly to Gondar, arrive and met by our rep & transfer- City tour of the 16^th century capital of Ethiopia. Sights to be the royal compound (Gondar Castles), Debre Berhan Sellasie church (decorated In typical Gonderine style w/unique ceiling), Fasiledes’ holy Bath & lion cage of David the third, overnight hotel on the mountain top Goha hotel.

Day 3:

Fly to Lalibela, arrive and met by our rep & transfer- Visit the eighth wonder of the world & UNESCO world heritage site. Tour the capital city of the medieval Zagwe dynasy and the famed 11 rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. Hear the amazing stories behind these churches & overnight Jerusalem Guest House

Day 4:

Fly to Axum ,arrive and met by our rep & transfer- Tour the most ancient city of Ethiopia, visit the famous Stalae park (tallest standing rock-carved obelisk in the world 23 mtrs), St. Mary of Zion church (4^th century), tombs of Kaleb and Remhai and ruins of the Queen of Sheba, overnight Remhai hotel.

Day 5:

Transfer & fly back to Addis
