| 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS KENYA FAMILY SAFARI On arriving to Nairobi the family vacation package itinerary heads you north to Samburu National Reserve (Depending on your flight arrival) for the first of many game watching experience. Full day of game outings with good chances to see lions, leopards and giant crocodiles before heading to Lake Nakuru famous for its pink flamingoes. Next it's on to Maasai Mara to see the red-clad, spear-wielding Maasai warriors and Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most renowned game park. Back in Nairobi to enjoy a farewell dinner/lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant for all types of game meat. Day 1: Arrival into Nairobi. You will be met by our local representative and transferred to the Nairobi Hotel. Day free for orientation and Safari briefing. Overnight stay at the Hotel. Day 2: Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Central Kenya and North across the Equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 3: Full day in Samburu, a beautiful game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx,Grevy’s Zebra,blue-necked Somali Ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Samburu village. All meals and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 4: After breakfast, link up with your driver/guide for the morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thompson Falls and other spectacular countryside. Lake Nakuru is a very shallow, strongly alkaline lake of 62 square kilometers/38 miles. It is set in the picturesque landscape of the Great Rift Valley with surrounding woodland and grassland next to Nakuru town. This is a saline Lake hosting the Pink Flamingos, Black and White Rhinos, Pelicans, Buffalos and Lions among others. Afternoon game drive at the lake shore. All meals and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 5: After breakfast embark on the morning drive to the spectacular countryside. Arrival at Masai Mara in time for lunch. The Masai are the surrounding community. They have remained proudly aloof from Western civilization. Afternoon game drive. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp. Day 6: You have one full day at the Masai Mara. Here you may undertake optional Balloon rides or visit a Masai tribal village as an option. Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Masai Mara is famous for its annual Great Migration of more than two million wildebeest and thousands of Thomson’s gazelle, zebra and impala. Aside from the Migration, game-viewing is excellent throughout the year. The Masai Mara is well-known for its spectacular black-maned lion and for up-close-and-personal cheetah sightings. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at lodge or camp. Day 7: Breakfast then later, you have the morning drive to Nairobi arriving at about mid-day. Lunch at a Nairobi Hotel. Transfer to the Airport for your onward flight. |
